Maybe we’re just minions
Obsequious to self,
Servile to flesh.

We give in to the body,
we swarm in its perversions.
We sow chaffs and we await
harvests of gold dust.
Doing the same thing everyday,
And expecting different results.
Wallowing in total depravity,
Engulfed in absolute corruption.

We humans are definitely minions to our bodies. We seek to master our flesh, we crave to have dominion over it but…. we just can’t hold it down. We are subject to pleasures, power, wealth and riches, sin. We give these things power to rule us without even realising it. We offer the things that were actually meant to serve us, the power to rule over us. I’ve seen many people talk about the wonders of the human will, its sovereignty over all things. But does the human will has any of these characteristics? Definitely NO. People have been misled and many have gone astray. Some famous preachers were even caught up in this fallacious web. The human will isn’t enough to master and control the flesh, it is not capable to curb its unholy and enormous desires completely. Man was made perfect, until the devil stole that away. Hence, our fallibility.

Man in his fallen state is unable to do the things of God. He is unable to understand the spiritual truths of the Bible. The natural man is unable to live a faultless life. He is corrupted. The natural man cannot accept God’s grace and enablement that ensures total victory over the flesh and its desires.
The innate ability to obey God has been lost. When man sinned, the glory of God was removed from man’s life.

The only way to keep the body under subjection is through Jesus. Anyone who is in Christ Jesus, who walks in the Spirit cannot be subject to the flesh. He has crucified the flesh – the old man.

“Galatians 5:24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”

Receive JESUS today and be free from all the desires and lust of the flesh. Become the master of your own body. Finally,

“Galatians 5:16  This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”

“People are like stained – glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within” —
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

Are you beautiful? Yes? No? Different answers from different people. Read this carefully and know if you are. The beauty I’d be talking about is not that physical, sensual beauty that is known by everyone. The meaning is something more, something unique, something that is veiled from the normal human eye. (This is getting freakish abi). Yea! It should.

When the good Lord through Solomon said in Eclestiastes 3:11 that ” He made everything beautiful in his time……….”. You would probably streamline this verse to potray beautiful things we see daily: awesome landscapes, beautiful cars, magnificient mansions, sublime terrains e.t.c. No! No! God was definitely not only talking about these. There is more. God was also talking about the inner beauty, something different from what we are used to. A pure heart, a wholesome mind, good character. These are examples of the innate beauty every human being has.

Let’s stage it from a different scene, the Merrian Webster Dictionary defines beauty as “The quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or Spirit” Wow! That’s grand. This definition also gives a clear understanding about what beauty is.

Beauty, as we have seen from these points of view is therfore, not only a physical quality but an ingrained character found in each individual. However, this quality is utilized in some, let me say a wise few. They, through their character, their speech, actions and reactions, thoughts and regards exude beauty. The others, that is the bulk of the people in this world, have deprived this reputation of daily practise and nuture. Note : Beauty is elevated through practise. The more you bring it into use, the more it auguments.

Conclusively, in a world filled with evil and strife, your beauty is that quality that makes you stand out. Now, ask yourself again. “Am I beautiful?”

Follow the song not Michael Guglielmucci

“You hold my every
You calm my raging
You walk with me
through fire
And heal all my disease
I trust in You
I trust in You
I believe You’re my
I believe You are all I
I believe You’re my
I believe You’re more
than enough for me
Jesus You’re all I need
My Healer, You’re my
Nothing is impossible
for You
Nothing is impossible
for You
Nothing is impossible
for You
You hold my world in
Your hands”

Following the confession of Hillsong’s Pastor Michael Guglielmucci who wrote the song Healer, the number of people who hear the song “Healer” has reduced drastically. Even, the church management has removed the song from the Album and further Cd/dvd releases. But the question is : Is it the song that inspires or the writer? Before I heard about the scandal, I had listened to the song a number of times and I was believing God to heal my spiritual life. Even after I have known about the cancer scandal, I still believe that God can perform miracles through the song. Though people may not accept Michael Guglielmucci anymore, but at least consider the power and anointing of the song.
